    This study aims to identify the reality of environmental management in Algerian institutions, and the extent to which these institutions adopt environmental management and its systems, in addition to highlighting the reasons for the backwardness of Algerian institutions in the field of environmental management systems, and increasing environmental awareness, especially with regard to the ISO 14000 series of specifications, and the importance of our institutions’ pursuit To obtain it in order to preserve the environment and improve its competitive position locally and internationally. Using the descriptive approach, the analytical approach, and the case study approach when addressing the case of Algeria. The study concluded several results, the most important of which are: Environmental management is considered an integrated administrative and philosophical method available to various institutions that enables it to achieve its strategic goals by preserving and exploiting natural resources. The low level of environmental awareness among institutional managers and general employees is considered one of the most important reasons that hinder the application and adoption of management. In addition, despite the environmental, economic and commercial gains of the environmental management system and despite all the incentives provided by the state, the adoption of Algerian industrial institutions is considered one of the least institutions that implement this system تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع الإدارة البيئية في المؤسسات الجزائرية، ومدى تبني هذه المؤسسات للإدارة البيئية وأنظمتها، بالإضافة إلى إبراز أسباب تخلف المؤسسات الجزائرية في مجال أنظمة الإدارة البيئية، وزيادة الوعي البيئي، لا سيما فيما يتعلق بسلسلة مواصفات ISO 14000، وأهمية سعي مؤسساتنا للحصول عليها حفاظًا على البيئة وتحسين مكانتها التنافسية محليًا ودوليًا. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي والمنهج التحليلي ومنهج دراسة الحالة في تناولها للحالة الجزائرية. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، أهمها: تُعتبر الإدارة البيئية أسلوبًا إداريًا وفلسفيًا متكاملًا متاحًا لمختلف المؤسسات، يُمكّنها من تحقيق أهدافها الاستراتيجية من خلال الحفاظ على الموارد الطبيعية واستغلالها. ويُعتبر انخفاض مستوى الوعي البيئي لدى مديري المؤسسات وعموم الموظفين من أهم الأسباب التي تعيق تطبيق وتبني إدارة البيئة وأنظمتها في المؤسسات الصناعية. علاوة على ذلك، ورغم المكاسب البيئية والاقتصادية والتجارية لنظام الإدارة البيئية، ورغم كل الحوافز التي تقدمها الدولة، إلا أن اعتماد المؤسسات الصناعية الجزائرية يُعتبر من أقل المؤسسات تطبيقًا لهذا النظام
