ENQUETE EPIDEMIOLOGIQUE SUR LA BABESIOSE

Abstract

Résumé La fasciolose est une zoonose parasitaire cosmopolite qui touche plusieurs espèces animales dont principalement les ruminants. Une étude bibliographique de cette maladie a été réalisée afin de faciliter la connaissance et la compréhension de la pathologie, ainsi que son impact sur la santé animale et ses conséquences sur le plan économique. Notre étude a illustré que, la mise en place d’un contrôle de la fasciolose dans une région donnée impose de connaître l'étiologie et les facteurs de risque de cette affection, mais aussi connaître l’écologie du mollusque hôte intermédiaire (en outre, il est possible de dépister le parasite dans l’environnement en détectant les mollusques réceptifs et en mettant en évidence les larves qu’ils hébergent). Notre étude a également révélé qu'en Algérie, d'après des recherches épidémiologiques menées ces dernières années, la fasciolose est très fréquente dans le nord- est du pays. Par ailleurs, il serait intéressant de poursuivre cette recherche bibliographique par la réalisation d'une étude expérimentale. A bibliographic study of this disease was carried out in order to facilitate the knowledge and understanding of the pathology, as well as its impact on animal health and its economic consequences. Our study has shown that, the implementation of a control of fasciolosis in a given region requires to know the etiology and risk factors of this disease, but also to know the ecology of the intermediate host mollusc (In addition, the parasite can be detected in the environment by detecting receptive molluscs and identifying the larvae they support). Our study also revealed that in Algeria, according to epidemiological research conducted in recent years, fasciolosis is very common in the northeast of the country. Furthermore, it would be interesting to continue this bibliographic research by carrying out an experimental study. Keywords : Fasciola, Fasciolosis, parasite, epidemiology, snails.
