Gestion sanitaire du tarissement chez la vache laitière

Abstract

Résumé La période de tarissement est une période clé pour la productivité du troupeau et pour la rentabilité de l‟élevage. Il s‟applique aux vaches gestantes destinées à poursuivre leur carrière laitière. Le changement physiologique durant cette période est sous le contrôle des hormones de la gestation et touche principalement la glande mammaire. D‟autres changements métaboliques et immunitaires caractérisent ce stade sont en rapport étroit avec l‟état de gestation. L‟objectif du présent travail est de mettre en évidence l‟intérêt de la gestion de cette période via la conduite alimentaire et la maitrise du statut sanitaire de la vache et de sa mamelle. Notre revue a confirmé l‟importance de cette étape cruciale pour le bon démarrage de lactation et la prévention des troubles métaboliques dits « de production » et des pathologies infectieuses péripartum à l‟origine de perte économique considérable. It applies to pregnant cows intended to continue their dairy career. The physiological change during this period is under the control of pregnancy hormones and mainly affects the mammary gland. Other metabolic and immune changes that characterise this stage are closely related to the pregnancy state. The objective of this work is to highlight the importance of managing this period through feeding management and control of the health status of the cow and her udder. Our review has confirmed the importance of this crucial stage for the good start of lactation and the prevention of metabolic disorders known as "production diseases" and peripartum infectious pathologies that cause considerable economic loss.
