Abstract
his study aims to identify and diagnose the role of using knowledge management
in its four dimensions (knowledge generation, knowledge storage, knowledge
dissemination, knowledge application) in achieving organizational innovation in the
institution under study – the Annaba Port Authority – in line with the markets in
which it operates.
To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive methodology was employed.
The study included a survey of the opinions of 40 employees at the Annaba Port
Authority, utilizing appropriate statistical methods for data collection and analysis
through the SPSS.V.22 program.
The current study reached several conclusions, the most prominent of which is that
the application of knowledge management in its four dimensions has a clear role in
achieving organizational innovation at the Annaba Port Authority. The institution
under study also strives to adopt modern strategies in implementing the dimensions
of knowledge management to achieve its organizational innovation.
The study also concluded with a set of recommendations, the most notable being
the necessity for Algerian institutions to enhance and support the knowledge
management applied within them with all that is new and distinctive in procedures as
a fundamental requirement to face competitive challenges. This would reflect on
improving the quality of their services, thereby improving their performance and
achieving a competitive advantage.
