The Role of Teachers in Boosting Introvert Students’ Oral Performance Case study: 1st year LMD Students of English at Chadli Bendjedid University, El-Tarf.

Abstract
The current research aims at investigating the teachers’ role in boosting introvert students’ oral performance at the classroom. Hence, we shed light our research on introvert students who keep being silent in the overall oral sessions because of the teachers’ neglection of their issues. For example, the inappropriate strategies followed by the teachers in the classroom may keep quiet students much more passive. especially for quiet students. the hypothesis suggested in this research is that introverted students’ oral performance based on the teachers’ role and strategies. In other words, if the teachers adopt adequate motivating strategies, introverted students’ oral performance will be boosted in the classroom. For this reason, the main purpose of this research is to highlight the important role of teachers and to know whether teachers are implementing suitable strategies to deal with the introverts. The required data was gathered using questionnaires which are addressed to 1st year students of English at the University of Chadli Ben Djedid - El Tarf - during the academic year 2020/2021 and another one addressed to teachers of English Departement at the University of Chadli Ben Djedid – El Tarf . After the analysis of the obtained data, the findings show that teachers are not aware about introversion and its impact on students’ oral performance and achievement. In fact, certain appropriate strategies are not implemented ﯾﮭﺪف اﻟﺒﺤﺚ اﻟﺤﺎﻟﻲ إﻟﻰ اﻟﺘﺤﻘﯿﻖ ﻓﻲ دور اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﯿﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻌﺰﯾﺰ اﻷداء اﻟﺸﻔﻮي ﻟﻠﻄﻼب اﻻﻧﻄﻮاﺋﯿﯿﻦ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻔﺼﻞ اﻟﺪراﺳﻲ . اﻟﻤﺸﻜﻠﺔ اﻟﺮﺋﯿﺴﯿﺔ ﻟﮭﺬا اﻟﻌﻤﻞ ھﻲ أن اﻟﻄﻼب ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﻋﺎم ﯾﺘﺠﻨﺒﻮن اﻷداء ﺷﻔﻮﯾﺎ واﻟﻄﺎﻟﺐ اﻻﻧﻄﻮاﺋﻲ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﺧﺎص؛ ﯾﻔﺘﺮض أن ھﻨﺎك اﻟﻌﺪﯾﺪ ﻣﻦ اﻷﺳﺒﺎب وراء ھﺬه اﻟﻤﺸﻜﻠﺔ .ﻋﻠﻰ ﺳﺒﯿﻞ اﻟﻤﺜﺎل، ﺗﺘﺒﻊ اﻻﺳﺘﺮاﺗﯿﺠﯿﺎت ﻣﻦ ﻗﺒﻞ اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﯿﻦ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻔﺼﻮل اﻟﺪراﺳﯿﺔ ﻏﯿﺮ ﻣﻼﺋﻤﺔ، ﺧﺎﺻﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻨﺴﺒﺔ ﻟﻠﻄﻼب اﻟﮭﺎدﺋﯿﻦ .وﻣﻊ ذﻟﻚ، ﻓﺈن اﻟﻔﺮﺿﯿﺔ اﻟﻤﻘﺘﺮﺣﺔ ﻓﻲ ھﺬا اﻟﺒﺤﺚ ھﻲ أن اﻷداء اﻟﺸﻔﮭﻲ ﻟﻠﻄﻼب اﻻﻧﻄﻮاﺋﯿﯿﻦ ﯾﺴﺘﻨﺪ إﻟﻰ دور واﺳﺘﺮاﺗﯿﺠﯿﺎت اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﯿﻦ .وﺑﻌﺒﺎرة أﺧﺮى، إذا اﻋﺘﻤﺪ اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﻮن اﺳﺘﺮاﺗﯿﺠﯿﺎت ﻣﺤﻔﺰة ﻛﺎﻓﯿﺔ، ﻓﺴﯿﺘﻢ ﺗﻌﺰﯾﺰ اﻷداء اﻟﺸﻔﮭﻲ ﻟﻠﻄﻼب اﻟﻤﻨﻄﻮﯾﯿﻦ ﻋﻠﻰ أﻧﻔﺴﮭﻢ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻔﺼﻞ اﻟﺪراﺳﻲ .ﻟﮭﺬا اﻟﺴﺒﺐ، ﻓﺈن اﻟﻐﺮض اﻟﺮﺋﯿﺴﻲ ﻣﻦ ھﺬا اﻟﺒﺤﺚ ھﻮ ﺗﺴﻠﯿﻂ اﻟﻀﻮء ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﺪور اﻟﮭﺎم ﻟﻠﻤﺪرﺳﯿﻦ وﻣﻌﺮﻓﺔ ﻣﺎ إذا ﻛﺎن اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﻮن ﯾﻨﻔﺬون اﺳﺘﺮاﺗﯿﺠﯿﺎت ﻣﻨﺎﺳﺒﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺘﻌﺎﻣﻞ ﻣﻊ اﻟﻄﻠﺒﺔ اﻻﻧﻄﻮاﺋﯿﯿﻦ .ﺗﻢ ﺟﻤﻊ اﻟﺒﯿﺎﻧﺎت اﻟﻤﻄﻠﻮﺑﺔ ﻣﻦ ﻗﺒﻞ اﻻﺳﺘﺒﯿﺎن اﻟﺬي ﺗﻢ ﺗﻮﺟﯿﮭﮫ إﻟﻰ طﻼب اﻟﺴﻨﺔ اﻷوﻟﻰ ﻟﻠﻐﺔ اﻹﻧﺠﻠﯿﺰﯾﺔ و آﺧﺮ إﻟﻰ أﺳﺎﺗﺬة ﻗﺴﻢ اﻟﻠﻐﺔ اﻻﻧﺠﻠﯿﺰﯾﺔ ﻓﻲ 2021/2020 ﻓﻲ ﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻟﺸﺎدﻟﻲ ﺑﻦ ﺟﺪﯾﺪ - اﻟﻄﺎرف - ﺧﻼل اﻟﻌﺎم اﻟﺪراﺳﻲ ﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻟﺸﺎذﻟﻲ ﺑﻦ ﺟﺪﯾﺪ .ﺑﻌﺪ ﺗﺤﻠﯿﻞ اﻟﺒﯿﺎﻧﺎت اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻢ اﻟﺤﺼﻮل ﻋﻠﯿﮭﺎ ﺗﻈﮭﺮ اﻟﻨﺘﺎﺋﺞ ان اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﯿﻦ ﻻ ﯾﺪرﻛﻮن ﺣﻮل اﻻﻧﻄﻮاﺋﯿﺔ و ﺗﺄﺛﯿﺮھﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻷداء اﻟﺸﻔﮭﻲ ﻟﻠﻄﻼب ﺛﻢ اﻻﻧﺠﺎز .ﻓﻲ اﻟﻮاﻗﻊ ﻻ ﯾﺘﻢ ﺗﻨﻔﯿﺬ ﺑﻌﺾ اﻻﺳﺘﺮاﺗﯿﺠﯿﺎت اﻟﻤﻨﺎﺳﺒﺔ ﻣﻦ طﺮف اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﯿﻦ
