الموروث الثقافي العربي في كتاب رحلات إلى شبه الجزيرة العربية لجون لويس بيركهارت

Abstract

تتناول هذه المذكرة بالدراسة والتحليل تجليات الموروث الثقافي بشقيه المادي واللامادي في كتاب "رحلات إلى شبه الجزيرة العربية" للرحالة السويسري جون لويس بيركهارت، حيث تسعى الدراسة إلى إبراز كيف تمكن هذا المستشرق من رصد تفاصيل الحياة الاجتماعية والثقافية في الحجاز خلال القرن التاسع عشر، وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي ، وخلصت المذكرة إلى أن بيركهارت قدم وثيقة إثنوغرافية دقيقة وموضوعية للموروث المادي كالعمران والأزياء والأطعمة، غير أنه أظهر نقصا في توثيق بعض جوانب الموروث اللامادي الشفهي كالشعر والألغاز نظرا لطبيعة شخصيته المتقمصة، مما يؤكد أهمية الكتاب كمرجع تاريخي وأنثروبولوجي مع إدراك حدود الرؤية الاستشراقية الميدانية. Abstract This thesis examines and analyzes the manifestations of cultural heritage, both material and immaterial, in the book "Travels in Arabia" by the Swiss explorer John Lewis Burckhardt, it aims to highlight how this orientalist was able to observe the details of social and cultural life in the Hijaz during the nineteenth century, the study relies on a descriptive-analytical approach supported by cultural criticism and anthropology to deconstruct the narrative structure of the journey, the thesis concludes that Burckhardt provided an accurate and objective ethnographic document of material heritage such as architecture, clothing, and food, however, he showed limitations in documenting some aspects of oral immaterial heritage, such as poetry and riddles, due to the nature of his disguised identity, which confirms the importance of the book as a historical and anthropological
