Abstract

This study sought to reveal the practice and nature of the application of social responsibility in Islamic banks. issued by them. This study reached several results, most notably that the Jordan Islamic Bank is one of the leading Islamic banks that has a tendency to implement social responsibility, which receives great attention from the bank’s officials, while Al Salam Bank - Algeria is more concerned with social responsibility towards employees than towards society. The study recommended a set of suggestions, most notably the expression and disclosure of social responsibility practices in accordance with a more clear detailed framework, especially in Al Salam Bank - Algeria, and the expansion of the banks' activities in the areas of social responsibility. سعت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن ممارسة وطبيعة تطبيق المسؤولية الاجتماعية في البنوك الإسلامية الصادرة عنها. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، أبرزها أن البنك الإسلامي الأردني يُعد من أبرز البنوك الإسلامية التي تتجه نحو تطبيق المسؤولية الاجتماعية، وهو ما يحظى باهتمام كبير من قبل القائمين على البنك، بينما يهتم بنك السلام - الجزائر بالمسؤولية الاجتماعية تجاه العاملين أكثر من اهتمامه بالمجتمع. وأوصت الدراسة بمجموعة من المقترحات، أبرزها التعبير عن ممارسات المسؤولية الاجتماعية والإفصاح عنها وفق إطار تفصيلي أكثر وضوحًا، لا سيما في بنك السلام - الجزائر، وتوسيع أنشطة البنوك في مجالات المسؤولية الاجتماعية
