CARACTERISATION MORPHOMETRIQUE DE LA RACE EQUINE BARBE EN FONCTION D’ELEVAGE DANS LA REGION DE SETIF

Abstract

Résumé Le cheval barbe occupe une place de choix dans l’histoire, la culture et les traditions algériennes; il est à la base de l’évolution des principales races équines maghrébines. Le travail présenté et une étude bibliographique faite sur le cheval Barbe très connu dans la région de Sétif pour ces performance, ainsi nous nous sommes intéressés aux travaux du Dr Ben Hamada qui a réalisé Vingt-un (26) mensurations ont été réalisées sur 28 chevaux barbes purs et présumés (origines incertaines), tous âgés de trois ans et plus dans la région de Tlemcen dans le cadre de sans mastère. À partir de celles-ci, six indices corporels ont été calculés et le poids vif estimé. Le relevé du profil céphalique a également été effectué. Ils se trouvent que le cheval Barbe algérien est un cheval eumétrique carré, dont la taille moyenne et de (152,5) cm et un tour de poitrine de (175.5) cm et un tour de canon de postérieur (19.8) cm et antérieur (20.6) cm. Il a un profil céphalique convexe légèrement busqué et une robe essentiellement alezane. Ses caractéristiques font que le cheval Barbe d’Algérie est conforme au standard tel qu’il est défini par l’organisation mondiale du cheval barbe. The Barb or Berber horse occupies a prominent place in history, culture and the Algerian traditions; it is the basis of the main equine breeds Maghreb. Twenty- one (26) measurements were performed on 28 horses pure and alleged Barbs (uncertain origins), all Agde three Yeats and polder. From thèse, six physico indices were calculated and estimated live weight. The statement of the cephalic profile was allo performed. It was performed on thèse various measures . Its features make the horse Barbe Algérien complies with the standard as defined by the World Organization of Barbe horse.
