Abstract

واسيني الاعرج يستخدم الاسطورة كأداة رئيسية لتشكيل عوالمه الروائية القديمة والحديثة كما هو ملاحظ في الروايتين رمل الماية ورواية حكاية العربي الاخير Through our study of the research entitled: “The Mythological Structure in the Writings of Wasini Al-Araj,” it became clear to us that "Wassini Al-Araj" uses myth as a main tool to shape his ancient and modern narrative worlds, as is observed in the two novels "The Sand of the Water" and the novel "The Tale of the Last Arab." It evokes history and orients the future, and myth is not just a background for conveying symbolic messages and deep messages through its use that contribute to discovering identity, memory, and social justice in a charming, experimental way. The use of myth expresses renewal and modernization, as it seeks to combine various modern narrative forms to create and produce texts that go beyond the familiar and known in order to open new horizons for the reader. The myth reflects the novelist's feeling and thinking. These ideas are an ancient popular heritage that expresses its originality and modernity. Myth has value in literature and culture. It plays an important role in shaping individual and collective identity. It highlights values, beliefs, and traditions. It is a means of criticizing social and political conditions through symbols and revelations. It also carries educational moral lessons.
