Abstract

This study aims to show the development of financial infrastructure and its importance to financial stability with the presentation of the experience of the eurozone, where we discussed the knowledge of the place of financial infrastructure in the financial system and its principles, it is the element that facilitates and connects the work of the rest of the financial system, to work the financial system efficient to achieve financial stability by absorbing shocks and reducing sudden economic fluctuations. We also touched on the European Central Bank (ECB) and its role in achieving financial stability through its development of financial infrastructure in being a traditional building based on cash and cheques to a digital financial structure based on encryption and algorithms, and consensus on the importance of issuing the digital euro, which depends on the technology of distributed records, as well as on a set of pillars to achieve financial stability.
