Evaluation de l’activité antimicrobienne d’une plante médicinale récoltée dans la région d’El Tarf : Cas de Mentha rotundifolia

Abstract

Résumé Cette étude a pour objectif la valorisation d’une plante médicinale poussant à l’état spontané dans la région d’El Tarf, à savoir Mentha rotundifolia. Une série d’enquêtes ethnobotaniques est réalisée afin de réunir le maximum d’informations sur les vertus et les usages traditionnels de Mentha rotundifolia ou “ Domrane ”, par la population locale de la région étudiée. L’enquête a révélé que la plante est plus utilisée par les femmes (79%) que par les hommes (21%). L’utilisation de M. rotundifolia est plus répandue chez les personnes âgées entre 40 et 60 ans avec un taux de 54%. Le pourcentage d’utilisation des différentes parties de la plante montre que les feuilles sont majoritairement la partie la plus utilisée avec un taux de 88%. Sur les cents personnes interrogées, 73% préfèrent utiliser la plante seule et la consomme à l’état frais (62%). 44% des habitants de la région utilisent cette plante sous forme d’infusion. Les résultats de l’enquête ont montré que M. rotundifolia est principalement utilisé pour ses vertus thérapeutiques contre la grippe (22%), les maux de têtes (18%) et la fièvre (17%). Abstract The point of this study is to accentuate a medical Herb randomly in the El Tarf area, and it is Mentha Rotundifolia (Round Mint) . A series of botanical studies are being carried out in order to collect as much information as possible about the traditional advantages and uses of Round Mint or “ Domrane” , by the local population of the studied area. The study revealed that the plant was used by women (79%) more than men (21%). The use of the Round Mint is more common among people aged between 40 and 60 years old with average of 54%. The proportion of the use of different parts of the plants show that the leaves are mostly the most common part by 88% . From the hundreds of people who included the study, 73% of them prefer to use only the plant and 62% of others prefer to eat it freshly. 44% of the people of the area use the plant as a drink. The results of the study showed that Round Mint was used specifically for its anti-flu healing properties (22%) and headache (18%) and fever (17%).
