Abstract
In this research work our hypotheses state that if the teacher uses audio-visual aids (A.V.A) in class, student's speaking skill will improve. In order to test these hypotheses and for the purpose of introducing audio-visual aids as an effective strategy to enhance speaking and to provide a full illustration for the correct use of A.V.A, we submitted a teachers’ questionnaire which helped us to know the teachers’ points of view about the use of audio-visual aids in teaching the speaking skill. Meanwhile, we submitted a questionnaire for third year students of English at Chadli Ben Djedid University for more accurate data. The obtained results confirm our hypotheses which stated that student's speaking skill will be improved if we use audio-visual materials.
